On The Road Movie

On The Road is an upcoming adventure drama movie directed by Walter Salles based on a script by Jose Rivera. It's a movie adaptation of Jack Kerouac's novel of the same name. The film is starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, and Viggo Mortensen. There's no official release date yet.

Plot:
"After the death of his father, Sal Paradise, an aspiring New York writer, meets Dean Moriarty, a young and dangerously seductive ex-con. They hit it off immediately. Determined not to get trapped in a narrow life, the two friends burn their bridges and hit the road: thirsting for freedom, they discover the world, others and themselves."

I doubt the film will be as exciting as the original novel, but I still wait with impatience for this adaption of On The Road.
